2002 Hunter 356

I could copy from all the reviews and postings, but suggest you just read them like I did when searching for a boat. If you read the reviews online, they are very accurate, this is a great boat. I bought it as a boat I could operate single-handed and I do quite regularly. All lines are accessible in the cockpit and the furling systems work very well. The engine has a single control at the helm making single-handed docking very simple.

I’ve decided to sell it because I want to do other things like travel and don’t want to be worried about it. When looking for a boat in the Bay Area, the hard thing to find is a slip in a desirable neighborhood. This slip is transferrable in a great neighborhood and Monterey Harbor has a great transfer policy.

I typically work from the boat a night or two a week and have very good 5G access that can stream Zoom calls or movies to the newly installed 32” Samsung TV. From the harbor you can walk to Fishermans Wharf, Cannery Row, Old Town Monterey and the Monterey Aquarium. You can sail to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Carmel and Moss landing. Come for a sail, stay for dinner and the weekend. The boat has great accommodations including a queen size berth and is currently fully outfitted to have meals onboard with stove, oven, microwave and grill. So this is not just a sailboat, its a boat condominium.

I’ve been taking good care of the boat. Here is a list of the updates that have been made recently. The big item being the replacement of the Standing Rigging after 21 years of service.

Also, I am a Certified ASA Instructor and a USCG 100T Near Coastal Captain. I’m willing to offer some training on the boat in the purchase price.
